10/29/2023 0 Comments Obsidian portalWhen you’re editing a wiki page, you’ll see a toolbar at the top: If you’re having issues, you can display all of the wiki pages by clicking on Show All under List Pages. For this page, the link has to look exactly like. But isn’t “wiki-how-to” the title of this page? These links are case-sensitive and space-sensitive. Sometimes you’ll put in a wiki link and it will look like a new page, like this: wiki-how-to. (Yes, the full name appears automatically.) It should be noted that these are case-sensitive, and the default for characters seems to be lower-case. So, if we want to link to Runa, it would look like this: appears as Runa Egilsdottir. It’s quite handy! Otherwise, the links behave much like a wiki link, just with a colon at the start. If you don’t want to use the page’s name as the link text, you can specify your own text by placing a vertical bar | and the link text in the link like so: appears as Linking with different text Linking to charactersįor PCs and NPCs in your campaign, the easiest thing is to use the PC/ NPC Link Lookup in the sidebar to the right. For example, here’s a link to this page: appears as Wiki How-To Linking to a page with different text To link to existing pages, use the same double square brackets. When you save the page, the link will show up and you can click on it to create the new page. To create a new page, just make a name and surround it with double square brackets like so: (with the second square bracket) will appear as: A New Page. To see how these work, click on the ‘Edit’ button at the bottom and just start playing around. To get you started, here are some examples of what you can do with the wiki. From here you can begin organizing your campaign! This is the default Obsidian Portal help page (with some additions by Thorvaldr.) It serves as a starting point for your wiki.
